Hawaii’s Unemployment Rate Falls to Six Percent

People across America—especially those of us in states where the unemployment rates are around the ten percent level or higher—are envious of Hawaii today. The state has added another 3,000 jobs as of last week, resulting in a lowered unemployment level that is now at 6.1 percent.

While this is only a marginal decrease from the previous 6.3 percent, it’s still significant in terms of how it relates to the rates across the country—and perhaps shows the rest of us that there is still hope for such lowered rates of unemployment for the rest of the states.
